Comment:

 The installer should have modified `.bash_profile`, though. Are those all
 the lines in your `.bash_profile` that mention `PATH`?

 Can you please provide the output of the following commands?

 $ /opt/local/bin/port usage
 }}}

 (By the way, we do not support using MacPorts [[FAQ#usrlocal|while other
 software is installed in /usr/local]]. We advise installing any such
