Comment:

 I took a look at this ticket again after a while and noticed that while it
 would be nice if someone took a look at ticket #40734, there is basically
 no other Python version that one could use instead of Python 2.7 for this
 particular port. Python 3.x is not supported by `wxPython` and `py2X-
 wxpython-3.0` doesn't exist for anything else but Python 2.7. (It could be
 added if there was a need, but I don't see any need for that and there was
 no specific request for it.)

 I changed the ticket to use the unified `PortGroup` a while ago as
 requested, but that's basically all that can reasonably be done. If you
 happen to have a specific need to use any other particular version of
 Python, please open a new ticket.
