 Yes. We started using this flag in r92126, apparently to fix a built
 failure on Lion x86_64. If Lion x86_64 no longer fails when we remove that
 flag, then we should remove that flag. Removing that flag did also fix the
 problems mentioned in this ticket for me, on Mountain Lion.
