 This is a support question and does not indicate any problem with a port.
 Please ask such questions on the [wiki:MailingLists macports-users mailing
 list].

 Can you run commands like `port info gettext`?
 Are the permissions on the Subversion checkout correct?
 Can the problem be fixed with `sudo port sync` or does that return any
 errors?
