 The attached patch updates the `chicken` port to 4.8.0.1. It also lifts
 the compiler restrictions (builds fine with Clang for me), removes several
 patches that no longer seem necessary, forces the build system to respect
 build_arch instead of using the hardware architecture, and restricts
 `+universal` to systems that support i386/PowerPC universal binaries.

 If one of you could sign off on this, that would be great.
