Comment:

 When I set up my new PowerPC test machine at the beginning of the year,
 mesa built fine on Leopard. Now it does not.

 The only change made to mesa this year is r102282 which removed the block
 that changed the compiler from gcc-4.0 to gcc-4.2 on Leopard. Reverting
 that change fixes the problem. Reverted it in r103261.
