 Thanks for the reply. My machine is running Mountain Lion and Xcode is
 version 4.6. The command line tools are also up to date.

 So, I guess, I will need to remove gcc-4.2 manually. Since I have no idea
 how to do that in a good and clean way, I would be grateful for any
 advice. Thanks.
