Comment:

 The log says "`Unable to locate FFMPEG library`". Maybe this version of
 grass is not compatible with the new version of ffmpeg that we have in
 MacPorts. The [http://trac.osgeo.org/grass/wiki/Release/6.4.3RC1-News
 release notes for grass 6.4.3RC1] say they add support for newer versions
 of ffmpeg. So presumably once 6.4.3 final is released we could update to
 that to solve the problem. Or if we're impatient we could update to
 6.4.3RC2 now.
