#37744: sshfs-gui: MacFUSE no longer maintained, replaced by OSXFUSE?

Component: ports | Version: 2.1.2
 Keywords: | Port: sshfs-gui

According to the homepage listed for {{{sshfs-gui}}},
 http://code.google.com/p/macfuse/,

Please Note: This project is no longer being maintained. We cannot
currently help with any lion (or any large feline) related bugs or issues.
The MacFuse google group is a decent resource for finding
 forks/replacement projects.

It looks like OSXFUSE, http://osxfuse.github.com/, is a replacement or
 successor:

FUSE for OS X allows you to extend OS X's native file handling
capabilities via third-party file systems. OSXFUSE is a successor to
MacFUSE, which has been used as a software building block by dozens of
products, but is no longer being maintained.

Does anyone have experience with OSXFUSE? Should we look into having the
{{{sshfs-gui}}} port provide OSXFUSE instead of MacFUSE?
