 I'm not a MacPorts maintainer and have no real experience as such. So, all
 I can do is state the current position and ask that it be addressed by
 somebody qualified.

 Port 'guile16' is the 1.6.x series.
 Port 'guile' is still the old 1.8.x series.
 There is no sign of a port for the guile 2.x series.

 Basically, nothing has changed.
