 confirming with livecheck:

 Local-Admins-MacBook-Pro:~ root# port -v livecheck virtualbox*
 virtualbox seems to have been updated (port version: 4.2.12, new version:
 4.2.16)
 virtualbox-extension-pack seems to have been updated (port version:
 4.2.12-84980, new version: 4.2.16-86992)
 }}}
 The virtualbox-guest-additions subport turns off the livecheck though:
 {{{
     livecheck.type          none
 }}}
 So that's why that one wasn't confirmed...
