 First, thanks for the quick feedback !

 I'll have a look at these in the next few days and will try to fix them.

 I'd also be willing to help on the macport of this, though I've about
 zero experience with macports, that's why I am not sure I should
 become maintainer of the port. If you, Mojca, would be willing to
 do this, I'd be happy to help out on any other (non portfile related)
 issue with it. :)
