Comment:

 I already explained why. The port uses an unversioned distfile, and does
 not follow the [PortfileRecipes#unversioned-distfiles recipe for
 unversioned distfiles]. But instead of using that recipe, a versioned
 distfile should be used. I'll see if I can give you a patch.
