 The changelog for bison 3 lists some incompatibilities with older
 versions:

 While the bison port was at version 2, there was a separate port for the
 previous version of bison, which was bison1 at the time. Now there's still
 the bison1 port, but it skips over version 2 straight to version 3. I'd
 like a separate bison2 port to fill this gap.
