 I cannot reproduce this with qt4-creator-mac 2.7.1 in my local overlay -
 with that version, everything works as expected for me.
 I suggest you try the patch from #38477 or wait until 2.7.1 hits the
 MacPorts repository, which I hope will be soonish.
