 After a fresh macports install on OS X 10.8, dolphin would not start for
 me as well. After using konqueror for awhile, making some custom settings
 and running "kbuildsycoca4" a few times, I found that dolphin would start.
 However, as soon as I tried to navigate to a folder, it would crash. I
 was able to open preferences and selected the setting for "Use common
 properties for all folders". After this, dolphin works fine for me.
