 Today I did

 $ sudo port selfupdate
 $ sudo port upgrade outdated

 but the latter command produced the following output:

 dyld: DYLD_ environment variables being ignored because main executable
 (/usr/bin/sudo) is setuid or setgid
 Error: arpack: Variant openmpi conflicts with gcc47
 Error: Unable to open port: Error evaluating variants

 I tried doing "port clean arpack" but it didn't make any difference.
