 I was about to paste the contents of `port contents p5.12-sdl_perl` here
 to compare, but then I scrolled over in the message in the OP and noticed
 this part:

 Library not loaded:  /opt/local/lib/libjpeg.8.dylib
 }}}
 The jpeg port is up to version 9 of the library now... perhaps there needs
 to be an explicit dependency on it to make sure things get revbumped
 properly?
