Comment (by nicos@…):

 No, both way to run it you are employing seem right. However, this

 > Hi, I have run the following:
 > {{{
 > sudo launchctl load -w /Library/LaunchDaemons/org.freedesktop.dbus-
 system.plist
 > }}}
 >
 > it returned:
 > {{{
 > launchctl: Dubious ownership on file (skipping):
 /Library/LaunchDaemons/org.freedesktop.dbus-system.plist
 > nothing found to load
 > }}}

 is not right. And if dbus is not loaded properly, I would assume that no
 kde application is running properly. Since ownership seem to be the issue,
 reactivating dbus may solve the issue
 {{{
 sudo port deactivate -f dbus
 sudo port activate dbus
 sudo launchctl load -w /Library/LaunchDaemons/org.freedesktop.dbus-
 system.plist
 kbuildsycoca4
 }}}

 and if loading the daemon works, then running kdevelop may go better.
