Is that the compiler being used for the build? MacPorts’ default compiler
for Xcode 3.6 is gcc-4.2. Can you check the first line of debug output for
the configure phase? It should say something like this:
{{{
:debug:configure Using compiler 'Mac OS X Clang'
}}}
