Correct. MacPorts passes your requested variants down to dependencies.

I'm fairly sure this problem has been around for years. I have no
recollection of doing anything to fix the language bindings variants of
graphviz in the years since I've taken over maintainership.
Since you don't seem to need graphviz's own ruby language features, the
simplest way for you to avoid the warnings is to reinstall graphviz with
its default variants, by running `sudo port install graphviz`.
