Comment:

 I still have the same failure. Attempting to install rcs 5.9.1 still
 installs 5.8.2 and fails the same way I reported.
 What I tried is:

 {{{
 $ sudo port selfupdate
 $ sudo port clean all
 $ sudo port install rcs <-- this installs 5.8.2 and fails.
 $ sudo port install rcs @5.9.1 <-- thsi still installs 5.8.2 and fails.
 }}}

 Am I missing something here?
