 You have selected the python_ucs4 variant of gobject-introspection, which
 requires the ucs4 variant of python27. But the ucs4 variant of python27
 causes the problems described in this and other tickets. So I recommend
 you do not use the ucs4 variant of python27 not the python_ucs4 variant of
 gobject-introspection.
