 Thanks much, I just tried a selfupdate then an uninstall/install tkdiff
 and noticed it indeed fetched 4.2 now. Works great.

 Now that I think about it again, it wasn't that I was required to go to
 svn 1.7 but that it became the default after installing Xcode 5 command
 line tools. So rather than force it back to 1.6, I decided to push ahead
 and ran into the tkdiff issue.

 Thanks again for the quick response. macports is the greatest.
