 Version 0.18 does not compile on Mavericks and according to the devs have
 stated "Note that no OS X related bugs have been fixed in 0.18."

 I reported the compile issue, but I don't think the mpd devs aware of any
 other issues. http://bugs.musicpd.org/view.php?id=3863&history=1#bugnotes

 I think this issue will need to be pushed upstream to mpd directly as it's
 an issue in mpd, not macports.
