 I'd like to update this ticket: after I got everything finally finished
 installing (per above), I am now seeing this bug, and I cannot for the
 life of me figure out what's going on. I went through all this partly to
 make sure I had a good, solid and updated setup to be able to work
 natively on my Mac again. When I first start up iTerm, I get this (and
 also drush and other tools now don't wortk because of this error, since
 everything needs curl):
