 I might have bothered you for no reason anyway. I should have checked the
 error_log before posting. There was this error there :

 mod_unique_id: unable to find IPv4 address of "new-host.home"

 which seems to be related (according to
 [http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.os.apple.macports.user/18648 this
 thread]) to getaddrinfo() and that can be fixed by modifying the hosts
 file.
