 The requested enhancement of this ticket was implemented.

 An update to nltk 2.0.4 is available, but requires 2.6 & 2.7, support for
 `py24` and `py25` could be discontinued. There are notes about nltk 3.0
 with Python 3 support, but it is alpha status. Here the details:
