 We can use the java port group to try to pass JAVA_HOME in, but I'd like
 to do better (detect missing java install and prompt, etc.).

 Using one of the system prompts to install a jdk, I seem to have a java
 install that works fine with the port as is, though - so I'd like to be
 able to reproduce whatever is causing failure for some people as well.
