 I can confirm this error and have further investigated it:

 1. It does not depend on the newly added line, which sets the max.
 template recursion depth to 1024 steps.
 2. I tested with the following macports-clangs:[[BR]]
    macports-clang-3.1 compiles[[BR]]
    macports-clang-3.2 fails[[BR]]
    macports-clang-3.3 fails[[BR]]
    macports-clang-3.4 compiles[[BR]]

 Thus, If no Apple CLang-compiler is available (they work), either
 macports-clang-3.1 or macports-clang-3.4 should be used by means of the
 portfile. I am still wondering what the differences are for v3.2 and v3.3.
 The replacement, however, should fix this issue...
