 Thanks for your continuing work on this ?

 I agree it would be nice to allow root and root-devel to be installed at
 the same time. This of course will require one or other to install as
 'root<X>' instead of just 'root'. I would suggest this should first be
 done for the root-devel port, so get it installing as root6 ? Longer term
 we can decide if the old root gets updated to install as root5 or not.
