 #40556 is about smokeping. You mean #40554.

 Concerning this ticket, there is still a problem with py27-gobject3
 because
 {{{
 from gi.repository import Gtk
 }}}
 should work (has nothing to do with gtk-osx-application python bindings).

 I'd leave it open until it's been investigated.
