 Hi Jeremy. I tried adding that line --- 'configure.optflags -O2' --- in
 the file:

 {{{
 /opt/local/var/macports/sources/rsync.macports.org/release/tarballs/ports/lang/gcc48
 }}}

 It didn't seem to help when I ran

 {{{
 sudo port install libgcc +universal
 }}}

 ... same failure as before. Perhaps it's the wrong Portfile? But then I
 don't know where to look ...
