New description:

 Please upgrade plplot to 5.9.10 or increase the revision to account for
 the wxWidgets-3.0 upgrade.

 Another weird things seems to be the livecheck which reports:
 {{{
 plplot seems to have been updated (port version: 5.9.9, new version:
 5.3.0)
 }}}
 so maybe that needs to be looked at as well.
