 I have the latest installed:

 $ port installed wxWidgets-3.0 wxMaxima
 The following ports are currently installed:
   wxMaxima @12.01.0_4 (active)
   wxWidgets-3.0 @3.0.0_1+debug (active)
 }}}
 but I still see the same crash of wxMaxima.

 Looking at the crash report again I do see the infinite recursion
 mentioned in http://trac.wxwidgets.org/ticket/15345#comment:31 which might
 lead us to a solution eventually.
