 Hi there,

 I installed avidemux via macports, and used all the variants I saw.
 Nevertheless I was not able to open a video file (some message like 'no
 codec for file'). I downloaded Avidemux from their homepage and opened the
 video, and it worked. Apparently the video has a DIVX50 signature, as
 Avidemux tells me.

 I do not know if it was the slightly different version number (2.6.5
 macports vs. 2.6.6 homepage) or that they are packaging an additional
 codec. But it would be nice to be able to edit that file with the version
 available from macports.
