Comment:

 This is already being taken care of as part of the general upgrade GNOME3
 which should happen in the next week or so (after
 additional testing on Mavericks).  Note that upgrading libnotify by itself
 without regard to upgrading its dependents will break a number of things
 so please be patient.  See my GNOME3 test branch at
