 Thanks for that. Sounds clear to me. I have checked that I have mesa
 installed: mesa @8.0.4_2 (x11, graphics). Would it require a later
 version, or is there some explicit linking missing? (Sorry if that's
 unclear, my limit is perl scripting, I'm ashamed to say.)
