 Ok, problem solved.
 IT was what you said: command line tools can no longer be updated via
 xcode, in Xcode 5.0. So you have to do it manually: downloading this
 https://developer.apple.com/downloads/index.action or via the apple
 software centre using xcode-select --install.[[BR]]
