 I did not realize there was a migration process that needed to be
 followed.  I upgraded to OS X from Mountain Lion to Mavericks Preview 6
 ... but did not do anything special to MacPorts before doing "sudo port -v
 selfupdate" which then asked me to do "sudo port upgrade outdated".

 I will read those Migration Instructions and attempt to use MacPorts again
 on OS X Mavericks.
