 Right, there should no longer be any need to manually override MacPorts'
 choice of clang, since older versions of clang that caused the configure
 failure for some users are now blacklisted. Any users still experiencing
 the problem (after having run "sudo port selfupdate") should attach their
 config.log so that we can investigate, since the original reporter's
 problem was with llvm-gcc-4.2, not clang, and it should not have been
 affected by the same problem.
