 an attempt to install py27-sympy on 10.6.8 failed with the following error
 message:

 mwh at MacBook ~/Downloads/MacPorts-2.2.0 % sudo port install py27-sympy
 --->  Computing dependencies for py27-sympy
 --->  Verifying checksums for py27-sympy
 Error: org.macports.checksum for port py27-sympy returned:
 sympy-0.7.3.tar.gz does not exist in /opt/local/var/macports/distfiles/py-
 sympy
 Please see the log file for port py27-sympy for details:

 the log file basically contains the above information and error messages
