 Well, Qt-based applications are expected to be built with the same
 toolchain (so-called {{{mkspecs}}}) that was used to build the Qt
 libraries. This makes sense because different compilers may use different,
 incompatible ABIs.

 To be honest, I don't know if gcc40 and gcc42 are 100 % ABI-compatible or
 if we might run into trouble when building qt4-creator-mac with a
 different toolchain than qt4-mac. So I guess the best fix for PowerPC
 would indeed be to force qt4-mac to be built with gcc42.
