 Another thing that changed in autotools land since 2005, besides support
 for universal variants, is the default location of the mandir. It used to
 be ${prefix}/man. MacPorts will warn about an mtree violation if a port
 installs files there. The port had tried to fix this by specifying
 `--mandir` in configure.args, but did so incorrectly: it specified
 `--mandir=${prefix}/share` when it should have specified
 `--mandir=${prefix}/share/man`. Now that the port runs autoreconf, the
 newly-generated configure script will place manpages in
 ${prefix}/share/man automatically without needing a configure.arg to tell
 it to do so.
