 It builds fine for me on all OS X versions so I suspect something unusual
 about your setup.

 Can we verify that your compilers are the correct version? What do you get
 when you run:

 /usr/bin/gcc-4.2 -v
 /usr/bin/g++-4.2 -v
 }}}
