 Sorry that you have troubles with the GUI. Pallet is currently
 unmaintained and no developer is working on the code. The
 [log:contrib/Pallet latest work] was done during Google Summer of Code
 2010. It could well be that MacPorts.framework and Pallet are no longer
 compatible with MacPorts base now.
