 I agree regarding the archcheck stuff.

 Unfortunately, my HFS+ file system is broken and I'm unable to test any
 changes I make, thus I won't submit new stuff. The current patchset worked
 fine for me, but I'd also like to remove the archcheck bits. Can't give
 any ETA for my system to be fully operational again. :(
