 This is still a problem. I installed for the first time on my Mountain
 Lion (10.8.5) Macbook, and encounter the same error on launch that Luc
 reports.

 Additionally, can anyone tell me why the executable goes into libexec
 /reduce-algebra/bin/ instead of plain old bin/? The former is not in my
 path ...
