 My suggestion would be to try to create a CMake-based installation based
 on one of the preview releases from https://github.com/root-
 mirror/root/releases (currently the latest one is `v5-99-03-01`). I would
 suggest to take the sources from GitHub in fact. This can be easily
 changed when the official 6.0 gets released, but I would like to start
 playing with version 6 before it's ready to replace the version 5.

 PS: of secondary importance, but it might be handy to be able to run
 Geant4 (which probably isn't aware of Root 6 yet) flawlessly while still
 being able to test Root 6, but I don't know what the best solution for
 that would be.
