 An interesting observation, GCC no longer complains:
 {{{
 > /opt/local/bin/gfortran-mp-4.7 hello.f -arch x86_64
 > /opt/local/bin/gfortran-mp-4.5 hello.f -arch x86_64
 f951: error: unrecognized command line option "-arch"
 }}}

 So this is no longer an issue with GCC 4.7 and 4.8 (I didn't test 4.6),
 even though it's still a nasty bug in CMake.
